On Tuesday 26th of July, Google announced the launch of expanded text ads globally.

Optimized for the mobile-first world, expanded text ads are designed to maximise your presence on search results. With nearly 50% greater ad copy, this format features a more prominent headline and extra room to highlight your products and services.

Users will get more information from the ads. There is an expected click-trough rate (CTR) uplift of ten to twenty percent.
